Bosnia and Herzegovina Delegation

Hungarian Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska has organized Business forum Hungary - Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Forum was held on 11th of June 2014 at the premises of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where beside the organizers, representatives of 16 Hungarian and 25 Bosnia and Herzegovinian companies were present.

In a speech to the present parties the president of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Ahmet Egrlić said, among other things, that Bosnia and Herzegovina can’t be satisfied with trade with Hungary, nor the coverage of imports by exports, because in the first quarter of 2014 Bosnia has exported goods worth a little over 22 million euros and imported goods worth more than 80 million of euros. In this regard, he said that BiH has potential, resources and knowledge, and can increase the volume of production and exports. He expressed hope that the Business Forum will result in improvement of business cooperation between the two countries.

The president of the Committee for the Western Balkans /Hungarian Chamber of Commerce Mr. Attila Galambos said that there is a long-standing cooperation between the Hungarian and Bosnia chambers and that representatives of Hungarian companies have come to renew existing or establish new cooperations with companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Members of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce have also offered assistance in remedying the damage incurred by floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina. President Galambos said that companies from Hungary have offered their capacities and cooperation with B&H companies, and are ready to come anytime in Bosnia and assist in damage assessment, and then to help resolve these damages.

Hungarian Ambassador B&H Mr. Jozef Pandur said that the relations between Hungary and Bosnia-Herzegovina are good, but meetings such this one contribute to their improvement, especially when it comes to economic cooperation.

After the plenary session of Business Forum B2B meetings took place between Hungarian and Bosnian businessmen.

Business Forum and the meetings of businessmen will be also held on 12th of June 2014 in Banja Luka.
