TRADE FACILITATION AND ASSISTANCE FOR MARKET ENTRY

CTEU is operating successfully in the Balkan region from 1991, providing various expertise for the facilitation of trade relations between firms primarily from Hungary and the Balkan region. Activities represented different segments of the economy but main emphasize has been given to the experts of agriculture and food industry products, natural gas and LPG to some of the Balkan countries.

EU FUNDS MANAGEMENT

As the European Union has allocated approximately EUR 5.8 billion as IPA budget for the Balkan region for the 2011-13 period, SMEs in the region (especially consulting and construction companies) have comparative advantages (due to regional closeness, lower costs and – with regards to CEE countries – experience gained in using pre-accession funds) in relation to Western European competitors. Our consulting Ltd. strengthens and supports the full utilization of funds with project opportunity consulting and organization of consultations for specialized partners. Such opportunities for interactions shall enable partners to find each other and to utilize the possibilities faster.

By offering specialized know-how related to public procurement, legal and financial issues of the European Union funds, we support and make it easier and more successful for SMEs from the region and Hungary to participate on and manage tenders and projects from the region.

ACTIVITIES RELATED TO EU FUNDED PROJECT MANAGEMENT:

• Trainings, presentations, on-the-spot know-how transfers related to previous projects (best practices, problems and difficulties)
• Preparation and promotion of "so called twinning programs" between public administration institutions. Beyond that we also assist the financial and project management of twinnings by providing senior experts (both public and private sector input)
• setting up and managing general project management and sector specific expert pools
• Establishment of a centre of excellence – EU-Balkan Consulting Office (Office for Coordination of Economic co-operation in the Balkan region)– in Budapest to aid the Balkan region in its efforts to further strengthen the utilization of funds with project opportunity consulting and organization of consultations for specialized partners. Communautrade Europe Ltd. provided and continues to provide financial and acquisition management consulting for financial institutions in project for buying up or investing in banks or other financial institutions in the Balkan region.
